The side door is what I call the slow way in — no contact form, no ticket system, no auto-reply promising a response within four hours. Write when you have something worth sending. I read everything during late mornings and early afternoons, Singapore time, except when I am away visiting family.

- Late mornings and early afternoons, SGT, are best. Evenings I am usually walking or cooking and may not reply until the next day.
Use email for corrections, broken links, or long thoughts. Use post if you are old-fashioned or sending something that needs a stamp. Use phone only if you already know me or if the matter cannot wait — a rarity on a personal blog.
I do not accept guest posts, sponsored content, link exchanges, or SEO offers. I do accept plain messages from humans who read a note and want to tell me it matched something they also saw at a bus stop once. Those messages are why the side door exists.
If you are writing about accessibility, broken links on mobile, or a map that will not load after consent, include your browser and device — I test on an ageing Android and a laptop, nothing exotic. If you are writing to disagree with a feeling I described, that is fine too; feelings are arguable without anyone being wrong.
I do not publish replies. Correspondence stays private unless you explicitly offer a correction for the margin notes page. I will ask before quoting you.
